So we had our Talk Like A Pirate Day ship, er shop, christening on September 19th, which was a ton of fun.

Then I joined the Chamber of Commerce and they came and did a ribbon cutting October 1st, which was our official Grand Opening. I was so excited! I look like a derp in the pictures, which you can see on my Facebook page. I’ll put up a photo gallery in the next post and you can see them.

October 5th was the Magazine Street Merchants Association event “Art For Art’s Sake”, and we did a little art market in the back yard, just a small one to see how it would work out. Had a hiccup or two, but DJ Tom Harvey stage managed it pretty well and did a cool show with buddha groove style music and chill lights. There were a few vendors and we got great feedback on how to make it better, so I look forward to doing another show after the holidays.

We have begun our Six Spot rewards program and every weekday from 4 to close we have Happy Hour (10% off storewide). Those are proving popular as they have in the past, and I’m grateful to the customers who are participating.

Due to the late opening this year, I think we won’t have a Christmas party, because there’s been too much going on to plan it properly. Next year we sure will though!

No news on the ongoing lawsuit. These things have a tendency to drag out, ugh!

Upcoming stuff for January and beyond:

Classes on Tarot and Rootwork
Roll out of the handmade bath and body line
Roll out of our witchy and hoodoo products
Restock the apothecary and introduce handcrafted teas and food items (spice blends, syrups, elixirs, etc)
More handcrafted wares to be determined as the Muse inspires!

If you have been following on the Facebook page you will know that I am looking for a crafting space. This place is too small and the suite we were promised (at the end of the building) hasn’t materialized as of yet. I’m not sure how that is going to play out. The owner wants to put an AirBnB there, but they already have one above, and may not be able to get a permit for it. So it could still happen, but I need to move forward with my candle and soap studio, so if you know of a place suitable (high fragrance concentrations = no people or pets) please let me know! I can work in a space as small as 100sf but 200 would be better. Thanks for any leads you can give me.

So, just wanted to catch you up. Pictures soon.
