CoronaFest Hours, Face Masks!

Ah, I am terrible at posting updates on the blog. My apologies. I am pretty active on Facebook, though, so if you’ll follow along at StarwindGifts, you will have much to see and interact with.

The shop will be open by appointment only through June 1st, at which time I will revisit the matter based on whether or not the virus is picking up steam again. I am a late night person, so evening hours are very flexible.

FACE MASKS WILL BE REQUIRED and must be worn properly. No exceptions. Gloves are discouraged because of germs. I will have hand sanitizer at the door. If you are unable to use hand sanitizer on your skin, you may bring fresh, clean gloves and don them at the door. If I can find any I will offer them, but as with hand sanitizer, rubbing alcohol, and Lysol, they are in very short supply. If you do not yet have a mask I will have some that I made for sale (see below for information and preorders if you want to pick from a wider selection of fabric).

The volume is turned off when I’m asleep so feel free to reach out anytime. If you get my voicemail, PLEASE leave a message and/or follow up with a text or DM. I live in a Faraday cage of a house, and often there is not enough cell connectivity to get through for a phone call. This means that you will probably not show up in my call log, and I will have no idea that you’ve called unless you leave a message.

I ask that you please limit your shopping to 20 minutes or less, and while I do love chatting with my customers, let’s do it via phone or text/messenger.

I will also do curbside pick up, mail, and delivery (within reason). There’s a small charge for delivery, just enough to cover the gas and my time. In fact, I have always offered these alternatives, but people are opting for this sort of thing more now, so it bears mentioning.

I am available for readings via ZOOM. I can also do Zoom or FB Live (messenger) video chat shopping, so if you want to see ALL THE STUFF, a video call is probably best. Unfortunately, they still haven’t come up with Smellovision, so you’ll have to settle for a description of the incense selection.

I am making a limited number of face masks. I don’t have a webstore and don’t want one. However, I’m certainly taking orders. If you want face masks, here’s your options.

I’m using this pattern: Best Fit Face Mask. The sizes are adult medium (women and teens) and adult large (men). Don’t get hung up on “men” and “women” – go by your face size. If you are a thin man, you might want a medium. If you’re a bigger person a large might be more comfortable. The overall difference is about 2″ in height and width. In the video, she is wearing the medium.

I am not making kid sizes at this time.

ONE MASK, double layer of quilting cotton, fitted, adjustable aluminum nose piece, with pocket for filter and a removable, washable, reusable filter made from antimicrobial silver impregnated fabric (total of 4 layers if you are using the filter). Adjustable ear loops made from good cording and a plastic bead (tie a simple knot to fix the position). Washable, iron to sanitize, made to last! $20

TWO MASKS, same as above, $40

THREE MASK BUNDLE with storage/laundry bag, same as above, $50. You can mix sizes and fabrics.

Shipping anywhere in the US $5 (it actually runs anywhere from $8.35 to $9.75, so I am splitting the shipping with you.)

Look at the fabrics available on the Crayzee Ande’s Creations Facebook group. Request membership if you would like to stake a claim on fabrics; if you don’t have a Facebook account, we can work things out by text or email. Usually, I ask people to pick their fabrics by commenting on the pictures. That makes it easier for me to remember which ones they want in their orders.

I have a vast fabric stash (well over 500 different fabrics) and can accommodate many tastes. I can also switch out the ear loops for cord/ribbon that can be cinched/tied at the back of the head (two points, for the top part of head and a lower point). Elastic is Unobtanium right now so it’s ribbon or cord. If you pick the ribbon option, that is removable for washing to avoid tangling it up; the cord option has a cord loop on top and a cinch bead at the bottom, perfect for ponytails or buns.

Please do not click the following without picking your fabric on FB (or otherwise communicating your choices) unless you’re cool with a random fabric. Unless specified via conversation, I will send medium size. NO RETURNS because of germs; however, if there is a manufacturing defect, I will stand by my work.

Turnaround time: expect 3-4 days to process your order and get it ready for shipping. If I get backed up I will let you know when we discuss the fabric/size options.
